Steve has his college major in Japanese Economics  while has obtained China CPA license.  He worked in 2 leading Japanese M&A consultancy firms and 2 leading accounting firms, serving over 100 clients around 20 years in both China and Japan.  His clients served include AEON, KYB, Aisin Seiki, Toyota Boshoku, and Geely Automobile.

 

Steve's unique background has equipped him with a good undestanding of corporate market environment in China/Japan and the business practice of China private enterprises and Japan invested companies/JV in China.  This allows him to provide clients with quality professional services like business advisory, internal control services, due diligence, tax planning and advisory, fraud investigation and statutory audit.

 

Steve graduated from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and can speak fluent Mandarin, Japanese and basic English.

 

Ron is our Director of Quality Controls who has more than 20 years of professional experience in the United States and China.  He worked as a Partner/Director in 3 Big4 advisory firms and 1 leading global advisory firm before and is a senior expert in risk advisory, internal controls, IT system review and forensic accounting.  He assisted listed companies, MNCs, SOEs and many private enterprises in Sarbanes-Oxley 404 Compliance, Governance reviews, implementation review, IT strategies and IT security, and business process re-engineering and etc.

 

Ron currently holds the following qualifications: CPA in Texas, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and Oracle Certified Applications Consultant, Oracle Financials R11.

 

Having worked combinedly for nearly 20 years in 2 "Big4" professional services firms, 1 investment bank and a few MNCs in Greater China, Carlos always serves his clients with pragmatic approach to solve complex business and financial issues.

 

His broad expertise in all aspects of investment, finance and accounting provide his clients with deep insights when providing business advisory, due diligence and valuation, forensic investigations, post-deal integration, and financial modeling. Carlos has a seasoned track record serving overseas and domestic clients including family-owned business, private equity clients and state-owned enterprises, to assist in their China operations.

 

Carlos graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in accounting, is a fellow member of the ACCA and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).  He has completed all papers of the Certified Internal Auditor exam by the Institute of Internal Auditors.  He is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Maggie is our Legal Services Director who has more than 15 years of practice experience in China and is familiar with the legal issues in foreign direct investment ("FDI") and overseas direct investment ("ODI"), M&A, VIE structure, investment structure design, PE investment, financing and business negotiations.  She worked in a leading local law firm and 2 major investment funds as Legal Director in China before.

 

Maggie is a member of the China Lawyers Association and Beijing Lawyers Association. She holds the securities practice qualification of the China Securities Industry Association and the fund practice qualification of the China Securities Investment Fund Industry Association.

Isami is based in Japan, and can speak native Japanese and fluent Mandarin.  He worked in a Big4 professional services firm near 10 years and another 2 firms over 15 years in both Japan and China.

 

Isami is a senior consultant especially for Sino-Japan business, such as Japan invested companies in China, Sino-Japan JVs, China investment in Japan.  He served listed companies, MNCs and family business in M&A, business re-engineering and liquidation, cross-border tax advisory and structuring, and deal origination.

 

Isami graduated from Doshisha University, Japan and is a Japan CPA.
